What You Get For Running Windows XP Service Pack 1 with No Anti-Virus

This is what my uncle got for letting his teenage daughters run
the household desktop without service pack 2 and no anti virus (on a dial up which means the phone is always busy).

All kinds of viruses, trojans, porn, gambling sites, malware, almost impossible booting etc . He thought I was a miracle worker when I got it to work but obviously the system was too compromised to trust. It needed a re-install.
