TIVO or Cable DVR?

You have probably noticed that prices for TIVO have been constantly falling. One reason is because of the stiff competition that cable DVRs are giving them. Ok the services offered by cable DVRs are less than those of TIVO but cable does everything that you really need for a small price.
TIVO costs include equipment rental and then subscription, so it means double payment but you can get a rebate if you subsribe when you buy the equipment.
Cable DVR on the other hand is cheap because it is a rental of about $10.00 per month (that is it!), no equipment to buy while TIVO subscription is about $13.00.
Cable DVRs continue to improve and every new upgrade is available to you for no extra charge.
Clearly you should now see that cable is giving TIVO and Replay TV some serious problems and so you should shop around, compare specs and get your cable DVR for a cheap monthly price.
Also with the HDTV programming available, most cable DVRs can record the High Def content with no problem, no additional hardware required.
